Weekly Contests
This spring, we're hosting a weekly creative contest, with the winner receiving a free t-shirt from our stock of Lighthouse Renewal Project tees. (Size and design availability might be limited, but we'll do our best!). Check out each of the contest winners below from previous weeks, and send us your contest entries to submit@beaconbiblecamp.com before Friday at midnight of each week.
Week 7: Stories
Write a short story that tells about how a character learns an important lesson. There are no rules about what kind of setting or characters you use or how many words you have in the story. The goal is to find a creative way to show how the lesson was learned.
The winner will be announced this coming Monday!
Week 6: Rainbows
The contest this week is simple: Represent a rainbow in some creative way and send us a photo of it. Please include a caption to go with it where you share your own thought about the faithfulness of God.

Week 5: Generosity
Parents, we need your help for this one. Our theme for this week is all about generosity, and we want to help encourage our campers to be generous in this time of distance and fear. Can you help us inspire your campers to greater kindness towards others and generosity this week? We don't want to have anyone showing off how "generous" they are, but perhaps you could sneak a photo of them truly helping others?
Congratulations to last week's contest winner! In the spirit of humility, we won't name our camper here, but congratulations all the same!
Week 4: Summer Staff T-Shirt
As we introduce the young people who have committed to be summer staff at Beacon this year, we'd like to see your design for what they do! Each year, we design a fun t-shirt for our summer staff, and you could be a part of that! Some of the jobs that our summer staff team do include: lifeguard, cabin cleaning, facility maintenance (think: plugged toilets!), landscaping, painting, programming, canoeing - and sometimes even cabin leaders too...
Congratulations to Aryel Venema from Owen Sound, our weekly contest winner! We saw some great designs last week for our new summer staff t-shirt, but we were taken with your creativity and multi-colour style (secretly, I also really like that it's not all about plunging toilets and raking leaves...)
Week 3: Easter Week
As we focus on Jesus' death and resurrection this week, we have an artistic challenge! Using the verse from Isaiah 26:12 below, create a piece of art that you want to share with Beacon:
LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we
have accomplished you have done for us.
Don't restrict yourself to just paint or markers. This art can be drawn, written, recorded, danced - you just need to figure out a way to get it to us so we can see it!

Week 2: Cabin Clean-Up
We want to see your best "cabin clean up" photos of your room! Send us a before and after picture of your bedrooms, and remember that while cabin decorations score lots of points, there's nothing like a well-made bed and suitcases tucked under the bunk!
