Thursday Thought: It's the 2018 Gift Catalogue!

Happy almost Christmas season!
I'm excited to announce that the Beacon Gift Catalogue is back and ready for action in 2017! The catalogue has become an annual tradition that many families look forward to, and we're excited to be bringing it back with some new fun gifts!
Many of our popular items (canoe paddles, mattresses, art supplies) are still on the nice list, but there are also a few new items that we've had requested from camper families and staff that we think will be quite popular. I'll let you see what each of the year-round staff are most excited about (photos in the gallery below):
- Kodiak: I'm particularly excited about the board game item, which means that I'll be able to help hunt for new and engaging board games for campers to play year-round at camp! (each $75 gift will allow us to buy three new board games)
- Dash: Alyssa can't wait to see "9 Square in the Air" at camp next summer. We had it at Oasis Family Camp last year for a week only, and it was a big hit!
- Brulee: Because she loves all things baking and cooking, Elisa would love to see two new hand mixers ready for next summer, especially for the baking weekend, when we make all the desserts for the summer!
- Mr. Tok: Have you ever had to set up a tent that doesn't quite work? Let's help Mark stay on track with new tents that are easy to set up (for staff AND campers) and ready for all our camping needs.
- Splenda: Help Maddie learn how to get around the trails at Beacon with some new signage: not just your standard yellow diamond markers, but creation information that helps campers grow as they explore!
No matter what you give, the Gift Catalogue is an amazing way to "pay it forward" at camp. We're already so grateful for all the support we receive through this yearly event, and can't wait to see what God does this year!
